The EFL Cup is down to the last 8 teams but who will make the last four?

Leicester City v Manchester City

The 2015/16 Premier League Champions take on the 2017/18 Champions elect in the stand out tie of the quarter finals. Manchester City have been awesome this season and have now won an incredible 15 straight games in the Premier League. Leicester also know what it is like to be awesome, winning the EPL title in emphatic style only a couple of seasons ago.

3 times winners of this competition Leicester City will be looking to stop 4 times winner Manchester City from making a clean sweep of the top silverware this season. City who last won the EFL Cup when Leicester won the title will see this as just another hurdle to get over in their attempt at total league and cup domination.

Arsenal v West Ham

2 times winner of the League Cup Arsenal, take on West Ham in an all London derby. Arsene Wenger will view this competition as an opportunity to deliver some much-needed silverware to the Arsenal fans. David Moyes must surely also be targeting this competition to bring some seasonal joy to West Ham supporters who have had precious little to enjoy so far this season.

Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth

Chelsea are one of only three teams to have won the EFL cup five times. Victory over Bournemouth would see them one step closer to making that six. Bournemouth have reached the last 8 for the second time in four years but to win away to Chelsea will be a big ask for the south coast side.

Bristol City v Manchester United

Championship side Bristol City will be hoping that playing at home will give them the edge against five-time winners Manchester United. United though will want to put the disappointment of last weekend’s loss to Manchester City with an emphatic victory over the Bristolians.
