World Cup – Group G – Tunisia v England

15 June 2018

England open their World Cup account against Tunisia on Monday evening.

This is a crucial game for England as Tunisia hold the most threat to England qualifying out of the group.

England don’t have the best opening game record in World Cup tournaments recently, however with a very good preparation, should be too strong for a resilient Tunisian outfit.

England’s opening will defend deep and play on the counter attack so England need to be solid once they lose possession and at set pieces.

In warm up matches Tunisia marginally lost to Spain 1-0 so it may take the three lions a bit of time to open the scoring to patience is a key.

Harry Kane is England’s top hope to set the World Cup alive and he will be itching to get a goal in this opening game.

But don’t rule out Alli, Sterling or Lingard being the ones that net the first goal in England’s campaign.

Best Bets

Don’t expect a comfortable England victory here as a cagey opening game may be in store. England should come out on top but there is no value in backing an England win at (4/9)

Correct score wise England to win 1-0 (4/1) or 2-0 (22/5) are our selections for this match.

In the goalscoer markets take Raheem Sterling to score anytime at (6/5)

And our top tip is England to win and under 2.5 goals at (19/10)

Good luck with your bets.
