Exciting news for dedicated Leyton Orient fans: as a gesture of goodwill the club is giving away 1,000 free tickets for Star Sixes – the highly anticipated new tournament for former international footballers, being held at London’s O2 Arena this July.
There are 500 tickets for the night of Friday 14th July (group stage), and another 500 for the following night, Saturday 15th July (quarter-finals). Start time is 6pm for both nights, and tickets can be picked up at Leyton Orient FC main reception, on Oliver Road, from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. There’s a limit of six tickets per person, per night, and tickets are expected to go fast, so make sure you collect them as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Star Sixes will see 12 national teams, featuring some of the biggest names in football history, do battle for the first ever Star Sixes trophy, in a thrilling six-a-side tournament. With legends like Michael Ballack, Deco, Steven Gerrard, Emile Hesky, Jay-Jay Okocha, Michael Owen Alessandro Del Piero, Rivaldo and Robert Pires playing, the O2 Arena will be the place every footie fan will want to be on Friday and Saturday!
The teams will be split into three four-team groups, from which the top two from each plus the two best third-placed teams, will move on to quarter-finals, followed by semi-finals, a third/fourth place play-off, and then the big final.
